I am Fritz Laszlo Weber[>].
For more than ten years, I've worked freelance for artists, campaigns, cultural projects, and film festivals — usually somewhere between concept, design, and implementation, mostly in the digital realm.
I'm a multi-tool type: good at many things and curious about many. Apart from all the technical and organizational skills that come with surviving as a freelance artist, my experience includes , , , .
I've worked in all kinds of environments — from open collectives to quick, top-down decision rounds. I like to create concepts that are playful, experimental, and slightly off-center, yet I'm equally comfortable choosing the most efficient route when time or structure demands it.
A simple yet content-rich art mediation website that tells the story of the artwork 86° WALTER HALIT, while also providing an in-depth introduction to the neo-Nazi murders of Walter Lübcke and Halit Yozgat. Concept and writing as part of the editorial group. Design by ZOFF, Code by Coderat
A simple, sharp, and on-point audio player for Maximiliane Baumgartner's exhibition project, making archival oral history content easily accessible to visitors in galleries and public spaces. Concept and design in collaboration with Maximiliane Baumgartner; development and coding by me.
A carefully crafted "Festschrift" for Prof. Ulrike Bergerman, giving contributors maximum flexibility for individual entries through a modular sub-site system, while presenting all Pearls of Protest on a playful landing page that visualizes the initiators' ideas. Concept and design in collaboration with the editorial board; development and coding by me.
A highly concept-driven portfolio website for the artist Felix Dreesen. Each project or series has its own visually distinct, semi-independent site, linked through the imprint, which serves as both a playful nod to Germany's strict publishing rules and a conceptual anchor. The resulting network of sites forms a kind of maze for visitors to explore. Concept and design in collaboration with Felix Dreesen; development and coding by me.
A multi-functional, large-scale website system with a simplistic approach for Güterbahnhof Bremen, a self-organized arts and culture compound. A modular page-building system provides flexible tools for different needs, from promoting the space to internal organization and communication. Concept and design in collaboration with a working group from the Güterbahnhof; development and coding by me.
I enjoy writing in different tones, voices, and styles — in both German (my first language) and English (my second). While I'm not a trained proofreader in either language, I'm good at shaping narratives and translating complex ideas into accessible text. In my own projects, I mostly work on long-form writing, but I also know how important sharp, on-point copy is for web and campaign work.

A theatre and performance piece set in a public outdoor swimming pool on a mountain hill, where the basin becomes a stage for drifting boxes, boats, and floating minds. The 40-minute play follows the flow of the waters that once filled the pool — tracing their journey through the cycle of currents, drains, and oceans.
"To project means — to throw — something — forth." Projektlogiken is an ongoing artistic research into the dynamics and structures of project-based labor that shape our contemporary work environments. The project combines interviews with fellow project workers and excerpts from diverse theoretical and literary sources.
A bilingual artistic book project combining poems, essays, archival material, and tutorial instructions across 208 pages. Based on the coat of arms of the City of Bremen — a key — the book develops a critical cultural and technical history of the key itself, becoming both a reflection on and an intervention into this (urban) history.
I enjoy exploring how form and color shape first — and lasting — impressions. I'm strong at conceptual and modular design thinking, especially for web and app projects. I understand basic typography fundamentals and I'm good at thinking through responsive layouts. I can also handle basic print production in InDesign when needed, though print design, illustration and logo design are not my main focus.

My own artistic portfolio, featuring numerous experimental features and hidden Easter eggs. The main structure is built around highly customizable layout blocks for individual projects. The front page itself acts as a playful index of these projects, allowing users to switch between sorting algorithms and presentation modes that generate different visualizations of the archive.

I built my first website around 2004 and have been experimenting with code ever since. My skills may not always feature the latest programming hype, but I've created a number of websites and digital projects over the years — some simple and reliable, others more on the experimental side. My focus has mostly been on content- and publishing-driven projects, rather than on complex user-interaction apps. I am highly experienced with HTML, CSS and Kirby CMS. I have a good understanding of JS, PHP and WordPress.
